Why I'm Building an AI SEO Audit Service
There are 1 billion websites on the internet. Nearly half aren't optimized for AI. Most owners have no clue how they're being mentioned by AI or if they're mentioned at all.
That's a visibility problem.
The Problem I Kept Seeing
Most people still think Google is the finish line.
They're writing blog posts, tuning keywords, chasing backlinks like it's 2015. But AI flipped the script. People don't even make it to search anymore. They just ask chatGPT. And the chatGPT answers.
And that answer might not include you.
The problem isn't just ranking. It's visibility. How do AI models talk about your brand? Do they mention you at all?
In the past few months, I've read hundreds of AI responses. Most come from a few trusted sources. These include Wikipedia, major publications, and a select group of "known" brands.
If you're not in that circle, you're invisible.
Why I Care
I've worked in tech for a decade.
I've helped grow a software company from scrappy startup to real traction. I've shipped features, squashed bugs, built teams. I've watched cycles come and go.
This one feels different.
AI isn't just another channel. It's a new layer of reality.
It's how people will learn, decide, and buy. If your brand doesn't exist in that layer, you'll miss the next wave.
That's why I focused on providing help.
What I'm Building
I help businesses understand and improve how AI bots (like chatGPT) see their brands.
I'm starting simple:
- I audit how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity talk about you.
- I fix the basic gaps. Stuff like missing schema, FAQ markup, and source clarity.
- I deliver a clean report with takeaways and improvements.
You get visibility. I get data, reps, and case studies.
The service is free right now because I want to earn trust through results. Not pitch decks.
Why Me?
I'm not a growth hacker.
I'm not some marketing guru trying to ride the AI wave. I'm a builder with a track record.
Here's what that's looked like:
In 2020, I launched a side project. It's an audiobook filtering tool that removes profanity and sex from audiobooks.
I've sold over $1M on Amazon with no team, no agency, no fancy funnel. Just research, product, and persistence.
I run engineering projects during the day. I build startups on the side. In the evenings and weekends, I spend time with my family.
I'm not flashy. I'm reliable. And when I commit to solving a problem, I do it.
This AI SEO thing, it's not a trend I'm chasing. It's a gap I recognized, one that affects real businesses. And I can't stop thinking about it.
What I've Learned So Far
A few quick takeaways from early audits:
Most sites have no clear signals for bots to pull from. AI is guessing based on scraps.
Brand voice ≠ brand visibility. Even if you've nailed your messaging, if there's no structured data behind it, the bots ignore you.
No one's watching this space yet. That's the biggest insight.
The more audits I do, the more patterns I see. That's the compounding edge.
The Ask (or the Invite)
If you're a business owner, indie hacker, or operator with a website, let's talk.
I'll run the audit. I'll send the results. I'll fix the basics for free.
You don't need to commit to anything long term. I'm still early, still learning.
I think this is worth your time. AI search is changing how people discover, compare, and decide.
You shouldn't be invisible to it.
Bottom Line
I'm learning how to sell.
Not just the product but myself, my story, and my values.
That's new territory for me. I've always leaned on shipping and staying quiet. But I'm starting to realize: if you want to serve people well, you've got to show up and speak plainly.
So here's me doing that:
I'm Jordan. I build practical things that help people win.
I'm not here to scare you into action. I'm here to serve.
